What is somatic Embodiment ?

A Somatic Embodiment session involves a combination of Somatic Stress Release™ and female embodiment practices.

Somatic Stress Release (SSR) is a series of body-centred practices that support the restoration of the biological adaptation system. SSR helps to regulate, build capacity and restore the nervous system. It also helps us to unwind and relearn how to respond to triggers, trauma, stress and experiences with more clarity, ease and boundaries.

This is a holistic approach that recognises the complex layers of each individual's relationship to stress (which includes trauma and triggers) in the body. As these are all experienced and expressed through the body, a somatic or body-focused approach can quickly address habitual responses to internal and external stressors.

A Somatic Embodiment approach recognises that we engage with others and the world through sensation and movement. Embodiment asks us to stay. To stay with the ache, the sensation, the pulse of life moving through us. To be here in the mess, the beauty, the friction, the joy. it doesn't let us float above our humanity; it roots us deeper into it.
Before your session I will contact you and discuss with you your intention for the session and answer any questions or inquiries you may have.

I will also send you an intake form and ask you to sign a shared agreement. This allows me to frame our session together to meet your expectations and needs.

what will a session look like?

A session will involve arriving together, talking, sharing, somatic embodiment exploration and practices, debriefing time and possible integration practices to work with at home.
Sessions usually take place for around 1.5 hours. I work strongly from an agency and consent foundation, which means that you lead the session and I offer choice points and direction that feels comfortable for you. It is important that a woman only goes as fast as the slowest part of her, especially when it comes to tending to the nervous system.

A session will generally focus on areas of resilience, restoration and/or the stress response cycle. As every woman is different and her body is unique this will differ depending on her needs in the moment.

This is truly transformational work. It is challenging and takes courage but is extremely rewarding and self-empowering.

I am offering private 1:1 personal sessions dedicated to your own growth at your own pace to gain greater connection with your healthy and joyous self that thrives with aliveness.

In our current state of living it is hard for many of us to process, understand and honour the different sensations and experiences that we come into contact with through life. We become out of alignment with our inner and outer worlds

This brings us confusion, leaky boundaries, destructive behaviours and communication, unhappiness, a disconnection with self and over time dis-ease.

We step back into 'safe' patterns and often complete unhealthy cycles over and over again. These patterns become blockages that are held in our body and prevent us from living our best life.

Regular: $150 AUD

Supported Access/Single Mother: $120 AUD

Share the Love: $170 AUD

Payment is required at the completion of the initial session or as previously arranged.

I often cap my client load to ensure the women I am working with have access to follow-up appointments and receive my full attention and energy.

 

If there is a waiting list, this will be noted on the booking app. I’m always happy to offer a discovery call to see if we’re a good fit and discuss availability.

Cancellation Policy

Your time and growth are valuable, and so is mine. To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for both of us, please review the following:

  • 24-Hour Notice: Required for cancellations or reschedules

  • Late Cancellation: 50% of session fee charged

  • No-Show: Full session fee charged
